Highly innovative fuel cell company, looking to bring on a senior mechanical engineer to build out their highly driven engineering team.
Responsibilities:
- Join the engineering team manufacturing fuel cells
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain) to ensure seamless integration of designs into high-volume production.
- Apply DFM principles to optimize designs for cost-effective and scalable manufacturing while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Perform detailed engineering analysis and simulations to validate mechanical designs, ensuring they meet rigorous technical and regulatory requirements.
- Generate detailed CAD models and drawings to guide the manufacturing process and create documentation for ongoing product improvements.
- Support the continuous improvement of products by incorporating feedback from testing, field performance, and customer requirements.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product design and development, ideally within fuel cells, energy systems, or other high-tech industries.
- Proficiency with DFM and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection moulding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Advanced skills in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with FEA/CFD analysis.
- Ability to work on complex technical challenges, think creatively, and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
